Life Skills Course

The Life Skills Course (Basic) enables boys of 8-14 to learn and practice fundamental life proficiencies. Cohorts meet for 2.5 hours each Tuesday over six weeks in Virginia Beach. CSA staff work alongside subject matter experts to provide entertaining and compelling blocks of instruction to include: 

• Week 1-2 Active Shooter: Run-Hide-Fight
• Week 3-4 Emergency Medical Care: Evidence-based life-saving techniques and strategies.
• Week 5-6 Urban and Outdoor Survival: Situational Awareness, defeating restraints, food, water, shelter, navigation and signaling. Includes two full days in the field on the Eastern Shore.
• NOTE: Each class starts with 30-45 mins of body weight calisthenics led by our instructors.
